I ordered the water mat for our 3 month old daughter and can only recommend it.
Our little one hardly liked the prone position and rarely kept her head up.
She finds the mat super exciting and interesting, especially the foam animals and fish that swim in it. She has even learned to prop herself up on the mat with her arms and has practiced diligently so she can follow the swimming fish and her favorite turtle in the play mat.
She never used to lift her head for long periods of time, but thankfully that is no longer a problem as we were getting worried.
It's just nice to watch your child have fun with something and see how the head and all the other limbs work properly. So it's not just a toy that you learn with, but it's also nice for me to see that my child is doing very well with it.
We totally love it. Every morning we put our little Kasper on the mat and he plays for all he's worth. So far, no toy has kept him busy so well and for so long. At the same time he even practices the prone position and strengthens his neck muscles. What more could you want :) We ordered it directly for my sister too. Just always a great gift idea :)
Our son (6 months) loves the mat. Because it is so big, he has already played on it with his girlfriend. The inflatable edge is great, good cushioning when turning attempts. A clear buy recommendation from me!
